Profiles In the world of punk-rock, only one band truly challenges the popularity of Greenday - Blink-182. The 1999 release 'Enema Of The State' made the Southern Californian band into superstars. The 2001 follow-up - Take Off Your Pants And Jacket - only turned up the heat. Some fans think the latest un-titled release shows a more mature side to the band. "We feel that a lot of people say that the record is a little more serious than the others - I think that's what people are expecting. We didn't really think about it in any kind of way, we just did what we wanted to do, the way we wanted to do it and took a very long time doing that to make sure that it ended up the way we wanted it to be. But we don't want to say it's a more serious record or anything, it's just this is a record that we felt like making now in our career." - Tom DeLonge Mark Born Markus Allen Hoppus on March 15th 1972. Mark joined he band in 1992, but promptly left the band, before rejoining and staying with the band. Mark was born in Ridgecrest, CA and currently lives in Carmel Mountain Ranch, CA with his wife Skye and son Jack, along with his dog, Ahi. Mark's favourite song to play on stage is "Don't Leave Me". Born Thomas Matthew DeLonge Jnr on December 13th 1975. Tom founded Blink in 1992, when he met a guy at a party called Scott Raynor who happened to be a drummer. They got talking and their friendship was instantly set in stone, although they are no longer friends after Scott left the band (see details about Scott). Tom and Scott found out about a guy named Mark Hoppus, who was a bassist - the perfect three-piece was created, or so they thought. Mark quit the band, before rejoining to complete the eventual line-up of Blink. Tom is married to Jennifer (Jenkins) and has a daughter, Ava. Tom is interested in alien invasions and anything political. Tom supports John Kerry to become President of the United States of America.
